Emily was very sweet. I do not remember her ever saying anything negative about a classmate. Am I correct that she is that first classmate we lost?

What I heard was that Emily had aserious heart condition and needed life-saving surgery. She was very quiet, and it probably had something to do with her heart. They postponed the sugery until after graduation. She did not survive the surgery. I believe she was the first classmate we lost.
