Carl Jarnberg

Carl Jarnberg Died May 28, 2004. He was born in Minneapolis, 60 years ago, and was a 25-year resident of Las Vegas. As an honor student, he attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and was a life member of Beta Phi Chapter of the Alpha Kappa PSI Fraternity. Most notable of his career positions, was as sole owner/operator of Docuscan, Inc. for the last six years. During his community service and political activism years, he was awarded the Outstanding Grass Roots Democrat Volunteer of 1999 from the Paradise Democratic Club. He held memberships in the Las Vegas Unitarian Universalist Congregation, the Humanists Society, and served as President of both the Genealogy Society and Valhalla Swedish Club in the past. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jon and Bruce. He is survived by his mother, Bernice "Bee" Belzone of Los Vegas; sons, Carl W. III and Christopher, grandsons, Mathew and Ryan, all of Van Nuys, Calif. Services will be private.

To Sjodin and I and a few others, Carl was "June Bug."   Funny guy, very wry.

I recall he had a VW that floated away on a flooded street?  Bugs were semi- water tight.  We were cracking up.

Carl and I had a good time challenging each other with math logic problems. Our senior year we drove to the Rose Bowl to watch Minnesota beat UCLA 21-3. He had some kind of an Italian economy car that was a real jewel. We had a great time.
