Kenneth James Lerum of Galesville, died suddenly, September 6, 2020.
Ken was born June 23, 1944, to Harold and Margaret (Kettner) Lerum in Rochester, MN. Ken was a graduate of Southwest High School in Minneapolis, MN., and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In 1970, Ken met and married Nancy Freed Murphy, and moved to Galesville, along with Nancy’s daughter, Kathleen. In Galesville, Ken engaged his love of horses and music, giving hayrides at community events and singing in multiple groups and choirs.
Ken is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Kathleen Murphy; granddaughter, Daryl Rae (Jason) Nelson; brothers and sisters: Sharon (Keith) LaFee, Carol (Mike) Hendrick, Curt (Karen) Lerum, Bruce (Terrie) Lerum, Dean (Julie) Lerum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Final arrangements will be handled by Zwickey Funeral Homes in Galesville. Due to COVID-19, the funeral will be limited to a gathering of family and extended family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Zion Lutheran Church, 20335 W. Gale Ave., Galesville, WI 54630.

Ken was always so upbeat and friendly! I enjoyed seeing him at a reunion and learning a lot more about his childhood and parents. I'm sad to hear of his passing.
