Jim was a really good guy, and was the freckle king of the neighborhood, claiming the title from me.  He lived around the corner from us in a basement apartment at 40th and Sheridan.  We were at 3928 Thomas.

Hair in Duck Tails was big in 5th and 6th grades at Lake Harriet.  Tommy Williamson used to do 100 brush stokes a night to tame his side ducktails. Jim had duck tails on the sides AND in top!  I was very impressed, and told him he must have been up all night working on his "ducks."

We were just shooting the shit one day and we came to realize that Jim's cousin was my cousin's cousin!  The Wright's were cousins with Cundy's who were cousins with Svare's who were cousins with the Voedisch's.

Crazy we thought.
