Comments:

I try to put other people first and always do what is in a someone's best interest!

I turned my life and my will over the care of God and follow Gods will not mine.

I quit drinking and turned my life around 12/7/1973. I went back to Mt Olivet Lutheran Church in 1974 and I met Natalie in a singles program. We have been married since 2/26/1976. Mt Olivet was big part of our marriage and raising Tina and Ben. Many fun times at Cathedral of the Pines Camp (COP) near Lutsen.

School Story:

I was quiet and shy in High School. My Mom and Dad were divorced when I was 11.

Boy Scouts Troop 170 with Jim May and his brother Tom and my two brothers were my life. From the time school got out until is started back after Labor Day we were in the North woods.

I remember pitching pennies in the halls and the one that had the leaner got the whole pile. That is how I made my living in school gambling.

I spent most of my time with guys in the class ahead of us or that went to Roosevelt and Washburn. They were a wild bunch.

One of my favorite teachers was Mr. Johnson in Math. He called me the rabbit chaser and said I was off chasing rabbits while I was in class. He was right.

Mr. Jacobs in metal shop class. The class would make plates of aluminum and we would recycle the scrap putting it into a molten pot of aluminum. It had to be dried off with now water on it from cooling. One day one of the kids cooled it off did not dry and put in the molten pot. The molten aluminum built to a BIG BUBBLE and then burst spreading aluminum throughout the shop. Lucky no one was seriously hurt.

I think the class that I used later in life the most was the typing class. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. I guess had every letter we needed was in that phrase. I can still type on a computer without looking at the keys.

I love to fish (I was fishing in my mind and not chasing rabbits like Mr. Johnson thought) and I caught and released this Largemouth Bass that was one inch smaller than the state record. It was 8 pounds 1 oz and 22 1/2 inches long.
