James "Jim" G. Fritzell, age 76, of Burnsville, MN passed away the morning of July 28th 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his son and lifelong friends. He completed his bachelor of arts degree in journalism at the University of Minnesota graduating magna cum laude in 1966. He finished his masters degree in 1968. He spent a summer of 1967 interning at the United Nations in New York. After 43 years as a technical writer he retired in 2011. In retirement he wrote a novel and feverishly rooted for Gophers basketball and football while enjoying a never ending stream of movies. Visitation services will be held on August 5th at 10-11am White Funeral Home in Burnsville after which there will be a graveside service starting at 11:30am at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
